2016 International Congress of Hyperthermic Oncology




The Society for Thermal Medicine is proud to host the 12th International Congress of Hyperthermic Oncology which will be held April 11-15, 2016 at the luxurious InterContinental Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana.

On behalf of the three supporting Societies of ICHO, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us in the “Birthplace of Jazz”, New Orleans, Louisiana. We will meet April 11 – 15, 2016, for what is shaping up to be an outstanding line-up of world class speakers addressing important topics in the field of thermal medicine. The Congress will feature an Educational Session, prior to the kickoff of the meeting (CME credits are pending). In addition, several congress sessions will be disease oriented, to attract participation by clinicians from around the world. Other sessions will be technology oriented, to focus on existing and emerging technologies in thermal medicine. We view “thermal medicine” as a continuum which ranges from cryotherapy to thermal ablation. The program will reflect this perspective. The President’s symposium will consider new frontiers in Thermal Medicine, with an eye toward future opportunities.

I am pleased to announce that travel grants will be provided for up to 20 young investigators. The abstracts for young investigators will be judged and the top 20 will be selected for the ICHO travel award. Application criteria can be found HERE.
